How large can I print my image?
This is a tricky question as there’s no single exact way to provide an answer. The first step is to determine the resolution (in pixels) of the image. This can be done in a couple different methods. For MAC users they can right click on a file and select “Get Info” which will list the files properties including “Dimensions” which will be the files size in pixels. For PC users they can right click on a image and select “Properties”, then select the “Details” tab which will show dimensions. Now that we can see the dimensions of a file we can a better idea of how large we can theoretically print it. See the chart bellow.
Print Size Lowest acceptable resolution @150 DPI Highest possible resolution @ 300dpi 4×6 600×900 1200×1800 5×7 750×1050 1500×2100 8×10 1200×1500 2400×3000 11×14 1650×2100 3300×4200 16×20 2400×3000 4800×6000 16×24 2400×3600 4800×7200 20×24 3000×3600 6000×7200 20×30 3000×4500 6000×9000 24×36 3600×5400 7200×10800 40×60 6000×9000 12000×18000
We also need to take into account if the file is in proper focus or if there is any motion blur. The easiest way to tell is to view your image at 100%, which will allow you to view just how “sharp” your file is.
If you’re still unsure about how well your file is going to print please feel free to give us a call anytime. We’re always happy to share our expert opinion on your images, and help get you the best print possible.
Will you adjust or colour correct my images?
By default we will apply “colour corrections” to all orders being placed, but there is an option for us to print your order “as is” without corrections. These adjustments include brightening or darkening of a image, red, green, blue, contrast and saturation. Each photo is viewed individually by our highly trained technicians and staff who have years of experience printing photographs. It’s worth noting that colour correcting images is a somewhat subjective process, and that our goal isn’t to change your image but to help it look it’s best. If you have any questions about this process feel free to contact us anytime.
File Preparation and Requirements
- Accepted file formats are JPG and PNG, but JPG is preferred
- 8-bit RGB files only
- Embedded colour space be sRGB, Adobe98 or ProPhoto
- use Baseline Standard when saving into a JPEG format if the application you’re using offers an option. The “Progressive” JPEG option may cause problems within the ordering platform, and possibly with our printing systems as well.
- When ordering a large amount of images we recommend exporting the images at the sizes being printed (@300dpi). This will reduce the amount of uploading time required to submit the order to us, and will decrease the chances of the order not successfully uploading.
- avoid using special characters in file names, and keep file names under 32 characters. Special Characters include the following ~ ` ^ : & * ( ) | ‘ ” , ? © [ ] < >
Can I order custom sized prints?
Yes, on most products we can do custom sizes. To do this we request you order the next closest size up that the custom size you need will fit into. Then include a note in the instructions of the order stating which file it is you need in a custom size, and what the needed size is. Don’t worry about how the cropping looks during the ordering process, as we will adjust the order before printing.
Is there a discount for ordering in larger qualities?
When ordering regular in prints in quantities over 50 or 100 we do offer volume discounts. The price per product will automatically adjust when this is done. Volume discounts are only available on regular lustre or metallic printing, and not other products.
I want to order a larger number of different images, but I don't want to have to drag each one into the ordering area. Can order them all at once?
Yes this can be done. First make sure all the images you want to order are in one folder on your computer. Then when on the ordering page click on the bottom of the page where it says “Click here to chose images”. Highlight and select all the files you wish to use and click open. You should now see all your images across the bottom of the screen in the image browser. Now look in the bottom left corner of the screen, and click on the 3 lines which will reveal the option to “select all” and click on it. Once this is done you can take all the selected images and drag them into the blank ordering area .When you do this you be prompted with a message asking if you wish to proceed, after which you confirm the images will be added to the cart in sequently order.

When I add my photos into the ordering area, the colour changes and/or the image becomes pixelated or grainy. Will my image print like that?
Not necessarily. The ordering platform only displays your images at a low resolution and doesn’t respect all colour profiles. If you have concerns about the quality of a file you wish to print you can always include a note in the instructions of the order for us to review your images before printing. We’re always happy to discuss these concerns with you anytime.
